Translation |
Transcription is the process of DNA to mRNA from inside the nucleus. Being the first step in protein synthesis, this allows coding to occur for nucleotide bases to exit the nucleus.
Translation is the process of polypeptide chains becoming proteins. mRNA strands go through Ribosomes then conjoin with tRNA, which contain amino acids. Released from the tRNA, amino acids attach to the outside of the Ribosome, hence forming a polypeptide chain.
Protein MisfoldingProtein Misfolding is when the process of translation fail. Due to this, genetic mutations cause protein misfolding, or interrupt correct protein folding.
Protein SynthesisProtein Synthesis is simply the process in which protein forms.
Protein FoldingProtein Folding is the process in which proteins folds in complex structures to match their function. This occurs after translation, which use new polypeptide chains that were previously formed.

Strengths Our team communicated thoroughly what our needs were and how we can take this project on! We were able to create a neat and informative poster which gave us and our audience the necessary information about our topic.
Challenges A challenge for our group was the infographics on our poster, each required a complex structure which we had to replicate closely to represent the actual diagrams.
